A Speed Racer Fan Fiction Story Thingy! This is the first time I've ever put anything I wrote onto the internet. This story is about me (I'm Kate), my best friend, a guy I knew from school, and Speed Racer. It's an interesting story that details what happens when some children of the 90s are transported into a world from the 1960s--that of Speed Racer. Among other things (like dealing with a total lack of cable television!), they have to fight a madman who may just end up being their key to get back home. This story is a work of fiction. I'm obviously using the 1967 'Speed Racer' series, as opposed to the one that was/is on Nickelodeon. I think the newer series is okay, but I like the old 1960s one better.^_^ **Okay, I'm not actively working on this. My life is sort of in an upheaval right now, due to school and family problems. Plus, I found out that this kind of story (where you write yourself into it) is what's known as a "Mary Sue". Fanfiction readers and writers tend to deride these kinds of stories, as well as the people who write them. ^_^; That's put a damper on things.
